Syd

Syd is the Lurcher type dog that is often visible on the photos of activities with the children and young people of Patchwork. Sometimes referred to as the ‘mascot’ of Patchwork, or “the most famous dog in Benwell”, he is often to be found curled up in the blue seats looking out the windows of Patchwork 1. Born in 2012 Syd has lived most of his life at Patchwork, alongside children and young people of the project. Great to talk to if people are feeling sad or lonely, or want a cuddle. Very responsive to a battered sausage from Adelaide Chippy next door.
